These terms explain what happens when you use Win the Internet Today (“the site”). By submitting a payment you agree to them.

What you are paying for

Each payment purchases immediate, temporary featured placement on the site — the #1 “high score” position — for as long as no other player pays a higher amount. It is not an entry into a lottery, a wager, a bid in an auction, or a purchase of any physical or digital good beyond that placement.

No refund for being displaced

Another user may take the #1 position from you at any time by paying the next displayed price. This does not entitle you to a refund: you received the featured placement you paid for at the time you paid for it.

“Score” and the daily winner

Your “score” is the amount, in GBP, that you paid. The player holding the highest score when a UTC calendar day ends is recorded as that date’s permanent winner in our all-time high score archive. This is a form of public recognition only. There is no monetary prize, cash reward, or payout of any kind, no random selection, and no gambling or betting mechanic involved anywhere in this product.

Automatic refunds for technical duplicates

Occasionally two payments may be started for the same price at nearly the same moment, or a payment may complete after its day’s game has already ended. In these cases the payment that does not result in a valid high score is automatically and fully refunded.

Content you submit

You must have the right to submit the player name, message and optional link you provide, and it must comply with our rules. We may remove or hide content that violates these terms or the rules at any time, without affecting the underlying payment record. Submitted content is treated as plain text; we do not render user-supplied HTML.

No warranty

The site is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are a plain-language summary of how the product works and should receive appropriate legal review before a public paid launch.
